Post Partum Intra Uterine Device (PPIUD) Workshop, Hospital Ampang, 15 Sept 2023

I was honoured to be invited to be a speaker and facilitator for the 3rd PPIUD course in Hospital Ampang. Post partum insertion of the intarauterine device for contraception was first started as a service in Hospital Ampang in 2019. It has been successful in providing women with immediate contraception prior to discharge home after delivery. In Hospital Ampang, this is currently being provided to all women, regardless of citizenship status. We organised this workshop in 2019, 2022 and I was so happy to be invited back this year to teach more doctors so that they can provide this service in their own hospitals. This workshop had the highest number of participants so far with 73 people including doctors and nurses.

There was good interaction with the girls who asked many relevant questions.
